Thomas Leith, an associate at Spears & Imes LLP, has experience in a broad variety of litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes, regulatory investigations, criminal prosecutions, and appellate work. Mr. Leith has represented individuals and institutions in state and federal court.

Notable matters include:

• representation of a hedge fund manager in a state shareholder suit alleging fraud and breach of fiduciary duty;

• representation of a prominent telecommunications company in a multi-state suit alleging fraud;

• representation of an international pharmaceutical company in an action relating to the marketing and safety of an anti-psychotic medication; and

• representation of an amicus in a major securities case successfully argued before the Supreme Court of the United States.

On a pro bono basis Mr. Leith has represented two capital defendants in separate state habeas corpus proceedings and coached a Bronx high-school mock-trial team.
