Mónica Folch, an associate at Spears & Imes LLP, has litigation experience in many areas of the law, including securities, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and class actions. Ms. Folch has represented clients in state and federal court and in regulatory proceedings.

Notable cases include:

  • representation of a private equity firm in a civil securities action;

  • representation of a printer manufacturer in a patent infringement action;

  • representation of a consulting firm partner in a contract dispute; and

  • representation of a pharmaceutical corporation under investigation by the New York State Attorney General and the Food and Drug Administration.

Ms. Folch is committed to pro bono work. Ms. Folch currently represents an eco-fashion blog in proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She previously represented a government watchdog organization in a FOIA suit seeking statistical information about the federal government's litigation practices. She has also represented foreign nationals in asylum proceedings.
