Laurie Richardson has represented individuals and institutions in a variety of areas, including securities law, white collar criminal law, complex commercial disputes, state and federal regulatory investigations, First Amendment law, and appellate work.
Notable matters include:
representation of a senior employee of a large international financial institution in parallel investigations by multiple federal and state law enforcement agencies relating to compliance with United States sanctions against Iran; representation of a former employee of a major ratings agency in state and federal investigations; representation of an individual in an investigation by the New York Attorney General of alleged state regulatory violations; representation of a prominent individual alleging libel against a major publishing house; and representation of a group of investment funds in a civil securities fraud action.
Ms. Richardson is committed to pro bono work. She previously represented a victim of domestic violence in family court and is involved in a program that provides assistance to individuals facing mortgage foreclosures. |
