J. Ellen Blain
Associate
Ellen Blain has experience in a broad range of litigation matters, including white collar criminal proceedings, internal investigations, and complex commercial and financial disputes. Ms. Blain has represented clients in state and federal court, as well as in proceedings before the American Arbitration Association and governmental authorities.
Notable cases include representation of an investment banker under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission for insider trading; representation of a domestic corporation in a proceeding before the Federal Trade Commission regarding antitrust violations due to an anticipated merger; representation of a hedge fund manager in a partnership dissolution dispute; and defense of an accounting firm against allegations of negligent misrepresentation.
Committed to pro bono work, Ms. Blain has previously worked on behalf of the Municipal Arts Society and victims of Hurricane Katrina. |
